Inaugural Caledonian Sleeper leaves Fort William

The first Caledonian Sleeper under the new Serco franchise departed Fort William for London yesterday evening (March 31).

Caledonian Sleeper Managing Director Peter Strachan unveiled the new Midnight Teal livery and white stag antler motif. Guests were greeted by traditional Highland bagpipe music from Spud the Piper, and by hosts wearing the new uniform designed by ten30 (a Glasgow-based fashion label).

The new service features a transformed menu with Scottish food and drink, new soft furnishings and Arran Aromatics sleep packs.

In 2018, a new fleet will launch, expanding the features on offer, including en suite berths, Pod flatbeds and a brasserie-style Club Car.
