TfW reveals Welsh £194m station upgrade plan

Transport for Wales and Wales & Borders operator KeolisAmey plan to upgrade all of Wales’ railway stations.

The £194 million Station Improvement Vision includes improved waiting shelters, free WiFi, CCTV, enhanced cycle storage and better passenger information systems at every station. It also highlights plans for new retail facilities and initiatives to develop community spaces within stations.

Other improvements include expanding the Secure Station and Accreditation programme, creation of at least 1,500 additional car parking spaces, and 11 Access for All schemes by 2024 to improve accessibility.
