Dudley interchange moves a step closer

A final planning application for a new £24 million Dudley transport interchange has been submitted by Transport for the West Midlands (TfWM).

Outline planning permission was granted by Dudley Council in 2019 to overhaul the existing bus station (built in 1986) and replace it with a new two-storey building featuring solar panels and a distinctive curved roof.

The interchange will link bus services with an extension of the Midlands Metro that is currently under construction.

If the plans are approved, a contractor is due to be appointed later this spring to carry out the construction.
