London Underground night services to restart

London Underground ‘Night Tube’ services are to return from November 27 - but initially only on the Central and Victoria lines.

The Friday and Saturday night trains have not run since March last year, due to the Coronavirus pandemic and a move to ensure that drivers were available to make daytime London Underground services as frequent as possible.

No date has yet been announced for the return of the night trains to the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines. However, Transport for London says this will take place, following training, “as soon as possible”.

Declaring himself “delighted” at the restarting of night services, London Mayor Sadiq Khan said it would “make a huge difference to people travelling around our city at night and making their way home, offering them an additional safe, reliable transport option”.
