Rail Live 2025 will be taking place on 18 and 19 June at Porterbrook’s Long Marston Rail Innovation Centre. This two-day event offers visitors exclusive access to new products and solutions, potential suppliers, decision-makers, and experts from across the rail industry, as well as group discussions and informative sessions across three seminar theatres.
Each of the seminar theatres at Rail Live have an individual focus – engineering, policy & leadership, and safety as covered in the Rail Safety Week conference. Each seminar theatre will host several leading industry experts and feature insights regarding current and pressing issues facing companies and suppliers alike.
Familiarise yourself with the agenda for the seminar theatres on Wednesday 18 June – day one of Rail Live.
The first day of the engineering theatre will explore the lessons learned from HS2, the need for a rolling stock strategy, electrification and alternative traction, water management, test track innovations, and how to create a diverse team.
Meanwhile, the policy & leadership theatre will explore how the industry will hold GBR to account, how Welsh, Scottish, and English regions can deliver their rail strategies within a centralised system, the future of open access, and the question of cost versus sustainability in the context of 2030 deadlines.
On day one of Rail Live, the Rail Safety Week conference will see conversations around safety across areas like forklift trucks, people plants, and design, before exploring avenues of safety relating to the supply chain, psychological welfare, health, measures of care, drug testing, and infrastructural safeguarding.
Thanks to the participation of representatives and speakers from organisations like Network Rail, British Steel, Transport for the North, the Department of Transport, and Siemens Mobility; visiting professionals will be able to benefit from the expertise, insights and practical learnings gathered from a range of operations and developments from across the entire UK rail industry.
