Rossi to take the helm at DB Cargo UK

Andrea Rossi will replace Hans-Georg Werner as DB Cargo UK Chief Executive Officer from September 1.

Rossi (44) has worked for DBC for seven years and is currently DBC Chief Financial Officer.

Rossi moved to the UK in 2013, when he was appointed Chief Financial Officer as well as joining the DBC board. He was key in the company’s restructuring in 2017 and is currently overseeing a review of DBC’s £1.3 billion pension fund.

“I am under no illusion that I am taking over the helm at yet another challenging time for the rail freight sector. But, as we have proved before, our colleagues at DB Cargo UK have the skills and determination to overcome adversity,” he said.
