GB Railfreight operates 1,000 train movements in a week for first time

GB Railfreight reached a significant milestone last week, with the freight operator carrying out 1,000 train movements in a week for the first time in its history. In just over ten years, this is a 1,100% increase in train loads per week.

The company says the growth can be attributed to developments in various markets, particularly in infrastructure. GBRf has doubled its work with Network Rail as a result of greater network flows and railhead treatment services in the Southern Region.
