Extra shifts for Motherwell rebuild

Construction teams are working extra night shifts and weekends to complete the £14.5 million second stage of Motherwell station’s modernisation.

Recent work has concentrated on completing the steelwork for the corridor, which acts as the main artery between the concourse and Platforms 2 and 3.

The timber frame for the new roof parapets on top of the British Transport Police and admin block is complete, and foundations have been laid for a new waiting room.
