Network Rail’s dedicated European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) Class 313 test unit 313121 has been put up for sale by public tender, with January 30 the closing date for bids.
The three-car set was extensively rebuilt by Alstom at its Wembley depot in 2013, for its nationwide role as a reference train to support the testing, verification and validation of ERTMS infrastructure plus associated research and development.
It has technicians’ work areas, a kitchen and toilet.
