Despite difficult autumnal weather conditions, Greater Anglia maintained a high punctuality score of 94.48% from September 19 2021-January 8 2022 - representing the best autumn yet for the operator.
Delay minutes were down 8% compared with 2020 and 89% compared with 2019. Cancellations were down 42% compared with 2020 and 91% compared with 2019.
The improvement has been attributed to GA’s new train fleets (Class 745s and ‘755s’) being more capable of handling the challenges of the leaf-fall season.
