GWR grant to clear litter in Plymouth

Great Western Railway has awarded a £12,000 grant to litter-picking group Clean Our Patch CIC, with the aim of engaging 104 schools in Plymouth to help clean up walking routes in the area by 2026.

Last year, the operator gave £7,500 to the group, which was set up in 2018 and has since collected more than 29,000 bags of litter across Plymouth. The group supplied litter-picking equipment and delivers educational workshops to schools.
