Cancelled Trains at Cleethorpes

Trains serving Cleethorpes will be cancelled over the weekend of September 25-26 to enable vital footbridge work.

The work represents a key milestone in the project to install a new accessible footbridge over the railway at Suggitt’s Lane, providing stepped and ramped access to the beachfront.

Engineers will install part of the bridge and install ramps on the promenade side, which can only be done safely when no trains are running.

Buses will replace Northern trains between Gainsborough Central and Cleethorpes and TransPennine Express services between Doncaster and Cleethorpes. East Midland Railway services will start and end at Grimsby Town, with replacement bus services taking passengers between there and Cleethorpes.
