First London Community Rail Partnership launched

London’s first ever Community Rail Partnership was launched at Hounslow on November 24.

South West Trains and the London Borough of Hounslow have joined forces to create the CRP. It is planned that adoption groups will be introduced on each of the seven stations on the route between Hounslow and Barnes Bridge. They will be managed by SWT and the Borough.

So far two planters have been placed at Hounslow to help brighten the station and to encourage local residents and community groups to get involved. Notice boards will be placed at all seven stations, allowing communities to share information.

SWT Head of Business Excellence Dave Morris said: “The work of these groups and of station adopters is vital in making our stations feel part of the communities they serve.”
