Crossrail submits plans for improvements to Goodmayes station

Crossrail has submitted plans to the London Borough of Redbridge to improve Goodmayes station. The proposals include three new lifts to provide step-free access to all platforms; platform extensions to allow the station to accommodate the new Crossrail trains (which are 200m long); and new platform lighting.

The improvements will be delivered by Network Rail.

Crossrail has also been working with Redbridge Council on proposals for improvements to the area surrounding the station.
