DCRail has been hiring 60026 Helvellyn from GB Railfreight to cover for a shortage of its own locomotives, after 60046 failed.

It joins fellow GBRf 60096 Skiddaw on hire.

The operator has also sent 56301 for repainting. Part of the deal for its purchase from the Class 56 Group is that it will be painted in an ‘appropriate’ ex-BR livery.
