Hull Trains has amended its timetable ahead of industrial action by drivers starting in early March.
ASLEF said earlier this month that industrial action would be taking place on Fridays and Saturdays between March 7 and April 26 after a driver was fired.
The union said the driver was sacked for raising a safety concern after a company meeting about fatigue in which they shared information about their own workload and a previous incident.
Hull Trains said management felt the information provided about the incident breached health and safety protocol and dismissed the driver. It’s understood they had not raised the issue before the company briefing took place.
During strike action the 0727 London King’s Cross-Hull on Fridays and Saturdays and 1909 Hull-King’s Cross on Fridays will not run.
A spokesman for the operator said: “A near full timetable will continue to operate. There will be some temporary alterations affecting some early morning and late evening services each Friday and Saturday between March 7 and April 26. All other services are currently planned to operate as normal.
“Any changes will be communicated to our customers in advance, and this is not expected to cause significant disruption to most journeys. As always, we recommend that customers check our website and social media for the latest information.”
