Timetable changes to offset London Bridge disruption

The temporary changes to platforms at London Bridge station continue to cause disruption, as train operator Southern makes alterations to its timetable.

Southern said on January 21 that the new track layout on the approach to the station has meant that “so far, it has been a challenge to deliver the new timetable, for which Southern and Network Rail apologise”.

It added: “We reviewed this, and from January 7 a small number of London Bridge to West Croydon services in the evening peak were removed.” (RAIL 766.)

Additional changes were made to the timetable in the week commencing January 19. And while there was some improvement to performance, Southern made further changes from January 26 to services into and out of London Bridge to provide a more resilient timetable.
