As lockdown restrictions ease and we start to consider travelling again, the future of cross-Channel operator Eurostar remains uncertain.
Eurostar is seeking financial support from the UK Government, citing higher access charges here as a reason.
The French Government has pledged to provide support for the operator, while £200 million has been provided by one of its shareholders, Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec (CDPQ) and Hermes Infrastructure.
Registered in the UK and supporting 3,000 jobs either with the business or in the supply chain, the company is, however, 55% owned by SNCF (French state rail), 40% by CDPQ/Hermes and 5% by SNCB (Belgian state railways).

I have just learnt about an expanding company who are a hugely successful business seeking to recruit a Recruitment Manager and Resource Coordinator for their busy rail company.

Key Responsibilities within your new role:

Attend weekly roster meetings to discuss labour requirements
Compile the roster
Make changes to the roster as needed ensuring working time directive is adhered
Distribute the roster to work force within deadline
Reconcile roster for the previous day, record changes and report problems
Ensure unavailability listings are kept up to date
Be available to advise for 'last minute' labour request
Be familiar with the training matrix for checking competences
Work in partnership with the Payroll Coordinator to answer queries from the previous week
Be available to take instruction and support the Recruitment Manager in resourcing workers
Be prepared to attend site when required
Monitoring the resource email inbox
Review CV's for presentation to the Recruitment Manager
Distribute new starter packs
Complete right to work checks
Ensure company inductions are completed
Request initial set of statutory PPE from stores for new worker
Upload worker packs and ID to the Business Management SystemEssential Skills/Qualities required:

Proven Recruitment Resource Co-Ordinator experience
Civils and/or Railway Industry experience desired
Familiar to a good standard with Office 365
Familiar with civil engineering H&S certification
