An exciting opportunity has become available within the Rail Development Team. The vacancies form a crucial part of Liverpool City Region Combined Authorities capacity to develop, manage and implement a broad array of important capital investment in railway infrastructure development schemes within the region. We are seeking suitably experienced, enthusiastic and driven individuals to join the Rail Development Team, in order to support the delivery of a challenging programme of infrastructure and operational improvements across the Merseyside Rail Network.
Reporting to the Senior Rail Project Manager and as part of the Rail Development Team, you will be required to manage a small portfolio of projects at various stages of development and implementation in order to successfully achieve the strategic public transport objectives and goals for the region. Your role will entail effectively managing the programmes, finances, Quality, Risk and Benefits Realisation of railway related development projects. Furthermore, the role will require the management of complex stakeholder relationships with bodies such as; Network Rail; Train Operating Companies; Local Authorities; Consultants; Contractors and the public in order to successfully guide projects through to completion.
The successful candidates will ideally possess a Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject such as; Engineering; Construction Management; Project Management or Transport logistics and be competent and demonstrably experienced in managing projects within recognised formal project management frameworks. You should be able to demonstrate a proven track record of successful project delivery - preferably within the rail industry, though other industries are also acceptable.
