Quantity Surveyor/ Cost Manager (Rail Stations) needed to work for design consortium on HS2

My client is a large multi disciplinary design consortium who are taking the design lead on the phase 2b which covers West Midlands to Leeds/ Manchester

My client is looking for a Senior QS and x2 QS who have an extensive background in rail stations.

Contract Length: ongoing

Pay rate: £300 - £400 per day – could be slightly more for highly experienced candidates

Responsibilities:

My client requires multiple cost managers/ quantity surveyors with extensive experience of the rail sector, escpecially within rail stations.

This will be working SOLELY pre-construction to start with and will also involve looking at designs and putting estimates together.

The role will then be to develop and deliver package budgets for projects through GRIP stage 0-5 or RIBA 1-3.

A large part of this role will be cost management the ideal candidates will be able to undertake estimates of works from civil drawings.

Key skills required: Resource Planning, Cost Estimating, Cost Budgeting, Cost Control

Requirements:

Extensive rail background within stations.

Demonstrable experience of developing package budgets

Be able to based in Birmingham.

Ideally chartered status (MRICS)
