As lockdown restrictions ease and we start to consider travelling again, the future of cross-Channel operator Eurostar remains uncertain.
Eurostar is seeking financial support from the UK Government, citing higher access charges here as a reason.
The French Government has pledged to provide support for the operator, while £200 million has been provided by one of its shareholders, Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec (CDPQ) and Hermes Infrastructure.
Registered in the UK and supporting 3,000 jobs either with the business or in the supply chain, the company is, however, 55% owned by SNCF (French state rail), 40% by CDPQ/Hermes and 5% by SNCB (Belgian state railways).

Project Manager - Rail Maintenance

A rail focused Project Manager is required for a South London based, although currently home based contract role. This is an initial 6 month contract, focused on programme of maintenance projects.

Duties will include tracking maintenance projects, developing indicators for leading and lagging projects using PowerBI and Ellipse to develop indicators. Reporting back to project management team challenges maintenance team are facing and ensuring a consistency of communication with maintenance teams and DUs across the programme. Will also be able to discuss potential ideas and innovative solutions from programme management team to maintenance teams.

Successful candidate will have extensive detailed knowledge of managing maintenance projects and the challenges that are faced. Excellent knowledge of Ellipse is required and the excellent communication skills to pass findings onto to senior programme team and maintenance teams. Good analysis and project management skills are a requirement on top of maintenance knowledge.

This role is for a publicly funded organisation and has been determined Inside IR35 for Limited Company contractors.
