Our client are an award winning Infrastructure contractor working in the transportation sector mainly on rail civil & electrical engineering projects.

We are a growing company and as such require a Project Manager with experience in the rail construction working on rail civils projects for our team in London covering projects around Kent and Sussex.

We currently have a number of very exciting rail projects which we require PM's for with more work in the pipeline.

The position is to work with our design consultancy team and the role requires an excellent knowledge of rail civils, stations, platform extensions and buildings projects in a rail environment. The projects can be quick turnaround so time management and excellent programme management skills are essential.

Key responsibilities

Project management and delivery

·Produce a contract programme within the timescales set out by the contract and provide client with contractually determined up-dates

·Alongside the Project Planners produce a weekly programme update

·Ensure Projects are delivered in accordance with the terms of the contract Paperwork

·Maintain Site Records: Inductions; Competencies of Individuals on Site; Site Registers; Completed ITP's; GRN's

·Write CPP, WPP

·Complete project Communications & Instructions Register as per Document Control procedure

·Complete Document Deliverable Matrix

·Worksite Request and Worksite Cancellation

Commercial

·Raise Early Warning Notification as per Commercial procedure

·Raise Change Requests as per Commercial procedure

·Prepare Clause 14 / NEC Contract Programme

·Complete Internal Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Procurement Schedule

Quality

·Write QMP

·Conduct project audits as per IMS Audit procedure and project audit schedule

·Ensure Non-conformance reports are completed and closed out

·Ensure ITP's are conducted in accordance with the Quality Plan

Meetings & Reporting

·Attend 10 Week Lookahead

·Attend CVR & Project Management

·Instigate and manage Project Start Up Meeting Internal Chaired by Regional Manager

·Conduct HSQE Start up meeting

·Instigate and manage Weekly Construction Meeting

·Attend Operations Management Meeting

·Instigate and manage Project Environmental Review

·Complete Project Periodic Report

Required experience:

* Project management experience in a rail civils capacity

* Civil Engineering degree (preferable)

* PTS

* Ability to write WPP's and CPP's + manage all audit and project paperwork/life-cycle

* Rail construction experience

* Experience of working for a design consultancy or an excellent knowledge of design and build projects in the rail industry.

* Competent with civil engineering, buildings and station upgrades + platform extensions.
