As lockdown restrictions ease and we start to consider travelling again, the future of cross-Channel operator Eurostar remains uncertain.
Eurostar is seeking financial support from the UK Government, citing higher access charges here as a reason.
The French Government has pledged to provide support for the operator, while £200 million has been provided by one of its shareholders, Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec (CDPQ) and Hermes Infrastructure.
Registered in the UK and supporting 3,000 jobs either with the business or in the supply chain, the company is, however, 55% owned by SNCF (French state rail), 40% by CDPQ/Hermes and 5% by SNCB (Belgian state railways).

Working for a Tier 1 Principal Contractor who specialise in Civils & Construction within the Rail sector the client is looking for a Framework Manager to manage the Anglian Asset Management framework
The works are high volume, low value maintenance works with average jobs of around £10k - 100k with roughly 1000 jobs per year.

To be suitable for the position you must have

Previous experience as a Project Manager in a rail and civil engineering environment.
Degree / HNC or HND in civil engineering (or equivalent compensating experience in a technical engineering role)
PTS / SMSTS
Experience as a Project Manager in a rail contracting environment.
Experience in rail working on civils associated projects as a construction CRE
Experience Managing teams  
Experience managing high volumes of low value works (ideally maintenance contracts)
Ideally worked on some kind of framework agreement in the rail sector.

Role Information

Managing the Civils Asset Management Framework and associated maintenance works
Ensuring that the site team are fully apprised of the contract parameters and have the capability and resources necessary to achieve contract objectives
Managing KPI's
Managing a team of around 6 Site Engineers
Carrying out Site Visits
The provision of formal reports on contract progress to the Framework Manager.
