The Signalling, Systems & Infrastructure (SS&I) Market in the UK & Ireland is a significant market with major projects and ongoing maintenance and renewal activities. The business is focused on major opportunities in Control Period 6 for Network Rail through frameworks, as well as major enhancements and of course HS2. Radlett office primarily deals with signalling products and projects

Role

As a Test Engineer you will be an important integral part in assisting with a scheduled production workload along with a service function to specific turnaround times to return the repairs to the customer. A key role daily will be to receive and give support to other departments such as Design Authorities, Production and Service Planners, Quality Assurance along with Health & Safety.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Test and repair electronic signalling equipment in line with procedure.
Repair of PCB'S (Printed Circuit Boards) to component level.
Work to departmental procedures including work instructions and test technical notes.
Accurately record test results information.
Achieve workload schedules for product and service repair.
Re-Working/Repair to recognised quality standards in accordance with ICP610.
Operate PC driven bespoke functional test equipment.
Use commercially available test equipment i.e. Digital Voltmeters, Meggers, Oscilloscopes etc
Understand circuit diagrams, bills of materials/parts lists.
To comply with, undertake and promote all relevant Environment, Health & Safety measures, responsibilities and activities.
