Job Summary:

To conduct fault finding, remote diagnostics, routine maintenance and repairs on the clients rail products to a very high standard in accordance with the requirements of the contract(s). The successful candidate will help deliver safe and reliable diesel power packs on a fleet of trains.

Job overview:

*Perform preventative and corrective scheduled maintenance activities in accordance with the customer's maintenance schedule.
*Perform remote diagnostics and fault finding on complex systems.
*Actively participate in the ongoing continuous improvement activities for both maintenance and procedures.
*To conduct planned maintenance tasks up to QL3 level (half-life overhaul).
*Attend and participate in meetings with the customer where necessary to obtain sign off for work that has been carried out on the customer's equipment.
*Undertake fault finding and repair when required using appropriate technical information (e.g. Technical drawings and fault finding guides)
*Completion of relevant documentation for all work carried out in order to accurately record activities that are recorded for the company and the customer.
*Proactive involvement in the Company's HSQE management processes.
*Maintain cleanliness of the onsite facilities
*Attend local and factory training courses when necessary to ensure skills remain current.
*To participate in 24/7 shift working including callout when required.
*Any other related activities reasonably required e.g. to cover work in another depot
*Accurately report parts used during service work as per internal processes to ensure our stock is effectively controlled and accounted for.

Person Profile/Experience:

Personality / Job Skills - from an engineering background with relevant qualifications, an enthusiastic person, proactive and with good initiative, organising skills and a flexible attitude. Product training will be provided.
Skill bases / Qualifications:

Served apprenticeship with mechanical and electrical disciplines
Must have strong fault-finding and remote diagnostics skills
