Planning Manager - Contract 3 months up to 12 months- Leeds
HAYS Construction and Engineering are proud to be partnering with an organisation for a once in the lifetime opportunity to be an autonomous part of the delivery team to upgrade the rail services across the North of England.
Based on site in Leeds the Planning Manager will offer strategic and efficient delivery of project plans, working collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Typical daily duties will include:
Deliver an effective review and internal audit challenge to the planning function
Capture, monitor and manage inter-Project dependencies
Build effective working relationships with Project Planners
Ensure robust and consistent schedules are constructed as part of Section Proposals
Accountable for planning practices and outputs to satisfy the Schedule Management Plans.
Develop an agreed detailed design, construct, test and commission schedule for the Project
Manage schedule information
Deliver accurate resource forecasting
Contribute to regular collaborative planning sessions
Identify and propose improvements to project or business issues
Essential skills and experience:
Computer literate and conversant with the MS Office
Project Planning experience, including Primavera P6 or Projectwise
First class communication skills, including the ability to present project plans to a multitude of audiences
Able to work in a diverse team environment, working collaboratively to meet project deadlines
Environmental awareness and sustainability driven
A competent understanding of rail systems
Technically competent in civils design and construction and a good working knowledge of rail construction and GRIP phases
Contract/ Interim position for a period of 3 months, however this is likely to be extended to 12months and potentially longer
£470 per day
Based in Leeds, West Yorkshire
