Our public sector client is England’s first sub-National Transport Body. They were formed to transform the transport system across the North of England, providing the infrastructure needed to drive economic growth.

They are now looking to recruit, in a permanent capacity, a Stakeholder Manager to be based out of their Leeds offices. This role will incorporate some travel across the North of England.

What we’re looking for:

The successful candidate will possess extensive experience of managing engagement and communications strategies, as well as providing compelling counsel to senior leaders. You will have a proven track record in establishing effective working relationships with stakeholders and building contacts and networks and will have a proven ability to negotiate and influence others at all levels.

Given the scale of opportunity Northern Powerhouse Rail represents, you will be equally comfortable with bringing the programme to life by managing proactive communication campaigns, as you will be engaging with a complex landscape of civic and business stakeholders.

You will have outstanding verbal and written skills with the ability to produce reports and presentations using raw data when required is essential, as is the ability to translate complex issues into appropriate formats for target audiences.

You must be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject, with previous experience within a political environment and will have experience of managing and leading specialist consultants.
