This is a fantastic opportunity for an IT Service Delivery Manager with experience in delivering new retail and software systems within a rail company to join a progressive and rapidly growing rail company.
The company are in the process of delivering a Programme to replace their entire Retail System, including Ticketing Issuing System (TiS), Ticket Office Machines (TOM), Back Office Machine (BOM), Handheld devices, Ticket Vending Machines (TVM), Website and Mobile App.
The purpose of the role is to ensure customers and staff experience a reliable, sustainable and fit-for-purpose Retail System irrespective of the channel they use to buy a ticket
The Role
This role will be responsible for the health, service, prioritisation of change and release management of all systems and applications that support the Retail System. It will lead a 'Retail Squad', comprising of Test Analysts (direct reports) and co-located IT Systems Analysts, Business Analysts, Configuration Manager and business owners.
It will work with the current Programme Team to ensure smooth transition of the Retail System into business-as-usual (BAU) operations.
It will ensure all systems and applications part of the Retail System are operating as expected and aligned to contracted service level agreements with the respective suppliers. It will drive the prompt resolution of incidents and lead on communications to the business to maintain ticketing operations to protect revenue.
As the Retail System is predominantly a managed service, the role will govern the management and improvement of 3rd party services working with Service Delivery and Contract Managers. It will manage and report on internal and supplier KPIs, SLAs and continual improvement initiatives.
You will be the primary escalation point and governance lead for the Retail System driving the successful transition of the Retail System to BAU, ensuring all processes and governance is in place and maintained to a high standard.

Key Experience Required
We would expect you to have at least five years' experience in a Service Delivery, configurations management, release or change management role within the rail sector.
You will have worked for an end user rail company and will have experience of managing external managed service contracts supplying retail and software such as ecommerce and mobile apps as well at TVM's and TOM's.
Ideally you will have an ITIL qualification coupled with experience of transitioning new services into BAU.
You will have a good understandign of the entire SDLC.
