Health & Safety Manager - Construction - Sheffield
£45-50k + Car / Car Allowance
My client was established almost 40 years ago, and are now recognised as one of the UK's leading specialist Civil Engineering contractors, employing over 200 people across the UK. Due to the retirement of the incumbent H&S Manager, they are looking to recruit a self-motivated, ambitious individual to join the team.
The role of Health & Safety Manager will give you full responsibility for driving a positive safety culture and best practice across the business and specific construction projects. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will manage, advise and guide and all Health, Safety & Environmental matters, keeping the business up to date with Health & Safety arrangements, policy, best practice and any issues that arise. You will be 'hands on' regularly undertaking site, office and depot audits across the UK.
To be considered for the role of Health & Safety Manager, you will have the following skills and experience:
Relevant NEBOSH qualifications (ideally Construction)
IOSH accredited (Grad or Chartered ideally)
CSCS qualified, with First Aid at Work
Extensive (10 years +) experience within Construction / Rail / Highways
Full UK driving license, and willingness to travel
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
