As lockdown restrictions ease and we start to consider travelling again, the future of cross-Channel operator Eurostar remains uncertain.
Eurostar is seeking financial support from the UK Government, citing higher access charges here as a reason.
The French Government has pledged to provide support for the operator, while £200 million has been provided by one of its shareholders, Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec (CDPQ) and Hermes Infrastructure.
Registered in the UK and supporting 3,000 jobs either with the business or in the supply chain, the company is, however, 55% owned by SNCF (French state rail), 40% by CDPQ/Hermes and 5% by SNCB (Belgian state railways).

Project Manager in Freelance Rail Project Manager - Portsmouth, United Kingdom
GBP £450 to £500 per day | Contract
Tier 1 contractor within the Rail sector are looking for both a Project Manager & Construction Manager to oversee the construction & refurbishment of a £5m Rail depot in Portsmouth.

The ideal candidate will have;

A proven track record with experience in refurbishment and new build on Rail depot Projects
Experience of working with NWR procedures
Have a working knowledge of Network Rail Standards and procedures
JCT and NEC contract experience.
Experience of working with a Tier 1 Rail Contractor

Although not essential it would also be advantageous if you have;

A degree or relevant qualification in Construction or Project Management.

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK
