As lockdown restrictions ease and we start to consider travelling again, the future of cross-Channel operator Eurostar remains uncertain.
Eurostar is seeking financial support from the UK Government, citing higher access charges here as a reason.
The French Government has pledged to provide support for the operator, while £200 million has been provided by one of its shareholders, Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec (CDPQ) and Hermes Infrastructure.
Registered in the UK and supporting 3,000 jobs either with the business or in the supply chain, the company is, however, 55% owned by SNCF (French state rail), 40% by CDPQ/Hermes and 5% by SNCB (Belgian state railways).

Electrical Site Supervisor - Rail - DZEP

We are looking for an Electrical Site Supervisor to work on a contract that will cover 20 sites between London Stratford and the Channel Tunnel on the HS1 Lines, the contract will be approx 2 year

• Must hold DZEP

• Must hold a minimum of Electricians Qualifications, Electrical Testing & Inspection Qualification would be beneficial

• Must have minimum of 4-5 years’ experience carrying out Electrical Site Engineer / Supervisors duties with a proven CV to support

• Must have own transport as will be site based

• Will report to the Lead Engineer

• Duties

o Organising / requesting Electrical Materials

o Ensuring Construction Programme is met

o Assisting with Planning of Site Works

o Attending Site / Construction Meetings with Clients

o Completing and submitting Daily Works Reports to the Lead Engineer

o Completing Electrical Test Record Sheets

o Assisting with Electrical Construction Where Required
