Dual Skilled Fitter (Rail)
Dual Skilled Fitters with strong mechanical and electrical skills are required to work on a long term contract for a large rail company based in Manchester.
Working in a maintenance team on the class 390 Pendolino fleet, this role is based at the Manchester depot. Previous rail/rolling stock experience is not required for position but similar large scale engineering is prefered
Hours:
Days only (Apply online only)) on a 4-on-4-off shift rota
Rates:
For the first 12 weeks the rate of pay is £16.95 per hour
After 12 weeks your rate will increase to £19.24 per hour.
Description:
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be a senior team member, servicing, maintaining and repairing 390's. Within the team you will ensure that traction and rolling stock are serviced and maintained in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner whilst constantly seeking to improve quality.
Key skills and requirements for the role include:-
* Time served apprenticeship in a Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or an ONC or NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
* Skilled and qualified in both mechanical and electrical engineering.
* Experience in rail or similar (Navy, RAF, Army, HGV, Aerospace)
* Basic MS Office IT skills.
