Working for a professional contractor who specialise in Construction within the Rail, Civils and Buildings sectors
To be suitable for the position you must have
* Minimum of 3 years construction experience in the rail industry
* At least 2 years in a General Foreman/Site Supervisor/Site Manager role
* Qualified to a minimum HNC or similar standard within construction site management.
* Have a working knowledge of construction techqniues
* Have a working knowledge of NWR standards and procedures
Role Information
* To assist the Project Manager in the management of the site on a day to day basis
* Responsible for managing Health, Safety and Environmental matters
* Responsible for ensuring a safe working environmental for all staff
* Preparation and management of safety documentation WPP/TBRA etc
* Maintain all site records pertaining to Health, Safety and Environmental information
* Control and issuing of appropriate permits to work
* Control and monitoring of competencies on site
* Maintain site diary, issue work records, record extra works inc. site measurements
* Prepare progress reports
* Liaison with Project Quantity Surveyor on commercial matters
* Manage labour, plant and materials on site in conjunction with Foreman
* Prepare timesheets, plant records etc
* Manage sub-contractors effectively with emphasis on Health & Safety and Quality
