Our client is a Belgian-based supplier in the Automotive, Rail, and Construction industry. The company is currently looking to hire a Business Development Manager to join their sales department.
For this position, the company is providing a high level of autonomy and independence. You will be able to have a high degree of freedom as to which companies you target and in which regions of Europe they will be located. You are the master of your commercial hunting activities and agenda. You will still have to report to the Sales Director, however, we are looking for someone who wants to take advantage of the opportunity to be proactive and independent in his/her way of working. This gives you the possibility to be more flexible and to adjust to the client/market needs accordingly. You will not be micromanaged and you will see the Sales Director as someone who you can cooperate with when it comes to strategies for client acquisition. This is the perfect environment for someone with a business development mindset and it will massively help you into bringing a lot of new clients in and increasing your commission.
The company already works with leading manufacturers like DAF, Mercedes-Benz, VDL, Van Hool and more in the automotive and companies like Bombardier in rail. It's a very financially healthy company which is looking to expand further and to bring in new technologies in the market. They specialise in manufacturing composites for body parts. With this company, you are guaranteed a secure long-term position where you can develop and increase your commission.
You will contact and visit potential customers in order to build strategic alliances with organisation which will bring in revenue for the company. To do so you will have to think creatively about possible alternative applications and in close consultation with the Sales Director you are jointly responsible for the commercial strategy. To do this you conduct research in the market, you make proposals on market strategies and you develop an action plan.
Your profile:
* Business development experience in the automotive/railway/construction/agricultural industry working with manufacturers
* Fluent English and Dutch, German and French would be a plus
* Excellent communication skills
* Hunter mindset
For this position our client is offering a salary package of EUR 70,000 - EUR 85,000 plus bonuses, benefits, and company car.
