As lockdown restrictions ease and we start to consider travelling again, the future of cross-Channel operator Eurostar remains uncertain.
Eurostar is seeking financial support from the UK Government, citing higher access charges here as a reason.
The French Government has pledged to provide support for the operator, while £200 million has been provided by one of its shareholders, Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec (CDPQ) and Hermes Infrastructure.
Registered in the UK and supporting 3,000 jobs either with the business or in the supply chain, the company is, however, 55% owned by SNCF (French state rail), 40% by CDPQ/Hermes and 5% by SNCB (Belgian state railways).

We are currently seeking an Associate Rail Trainer/Assessor to join our training department to provide training courses and assessments to our Customers and offices in the South.

Ideally you will already be working in a full time or Associate Trainer position and have experience of providing high quality training courses with a strong Rail background. To be successful in securing this role you should be NSAR accredited to carry out assessments and deliver training courses in the following rail competencies as a minimum:

Controller of Site Safety, SWL, PTS AC and DC, Engineering Supervisor, Lookout, IWA, track induction and Machine Controller

We are looking for someone who is flexible as there will be times when you need to travel to our different sites across the UK. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering a high level of quality training at all times and be motivated in their own personal development. This position is based at our Cannock office, but travel to other locations will be a significant part of the role.
