This year’s National Rail Conference on June 15 welcomes the Rail Delivery Group (RDG) as one of its gold sponsors.
The RDG exists to enable rail companies to succeed in transforming and delivering a successful railway, bringing together all passenger and freight operators with Network Rail and HS2, providing services and support to enable them to deliver better services for their customers.
Activity is organised into four portfolios: customer experience (modernising ticketing and improving door-to-door journeys); today’s railway (improving punctuality, reliability and value for money); industry reform (improving industry structures to enable excellence); and tomorrow’s railway (better planning for the railway’s future).
RDG Chairman Chris Burchell will speak at the conference. Currently Managing Director of UK Trains for Arriva, he is responsible for the company’s growth and development in the UK. From 2010-16 he was chairman of the railway industry’s cross-industry National Task Force. He was appointed RDG chairman in 2017.
