Virgin Trains invests in local dairy farmers

Virgin Trains has agreed to support local dairy farmers by only using locally-sourced milk on their trains.

The deal was made with Enterprise Foods to source milk from dairy farms as close as seven miles from the West Coast Main Line. Dairy suppliers include Mortons Dairies in Liverpool and Yester Farm in Edinburgh.

Milk will be delivered from the suppliers to the Virgin Trains depot for distribution along the route. It will be used on all 300 Virgin Trains services that run each day.
