Freight operator Direct Rail Services will hold an open day on July 18 2015, at its Carlisle Kingmoor depot. All funds raised will go to charity.
DRS will have a range of its fleet on display from veteran Class 20s to brand new Class 68s. Staff will be on hand for any technical queries visitors have.
The British Transport Police and Network Rail will also have a presence at the depot. There will be a range of exhibitors selling railway memorabilia.
DRS is also promising that the event will be ‘extra special’ as the company celebrates its 20th anniversary.
