St Pancras movies as promised – March 9 2011

As promised in my blog on March 7, here are the movies I shot on the trusty old iPhone, giving a flavour of the superb event staged by HS1 at St Pancras International top unveil the massive Olympic rings hanging in front of the famous clock.
Make sure you listen to the speech by London Mayor Boris Johnson – it’s witty and lively (as he always is) from start to finish but his gag about ‘look and feel’ is a classic, as is his good-natured poke in the eye for our French friends.
There’s then a couple of clips of the good natured and enthusiastic half-hour set done by Tom and Danny, the two frontmen from former teen band McFly, which in addition to the guests entertained a few hundred homeward bound commuters.
It really was a well organised, effective and very happy event.
Well done to all concerned.
